This summer the Junior Ranger program is exploring the outdoors through the elements, and Week 4 is Air! Weather systems, the science of flight, and paper airplane creations are some of the topics covered. Review the attached agenda for more details. Programs run Monday - Wednesday from 10am to 1pm. Outdoor and weather appropriate clothing must be worn as we will be exploring the park; getting dirty and wet are both strong possibilities. Closed-toed shoes are required every day. Please don't forget to bring lunch, a reusable water bottle, sunscreen, and bugspray. Pre-registration and payment are required in advance. Program cost is $20 per child, per week. You can do this by either calling the Visitor Center at (540)288-1400 or stopping by in-person. If you are registering more than one child, please reserve the appropriate number of spots. On the first day, arrive15 minutes early as we will need the parent/guardian to fill out an emergency contact form for their child and read/sign a code of conduct. Adults are welcome to stay for the duration of the program. An adult listed on the emergency contact form must sign the child in/out with a valid photo ID.
