CNEW's 2026 Nonprofit Partner: Rappahannock Area CASA

Each year, CNEW chooses a local nonprofit to raise awareness and encourage community support. For 2026, we are honored to spotlight Rappahannock Area CASA.

Rappahannock CASA advocates for children who have been abused or neglected and are now in foster care or involved in c ourt cases. Judges appoint CASA volunteers to investigate the child's circumstances, learn about their needs, and provide informed recommendations to the court about safe placement and supportive services. By focusing on a child's safety, stability, and well-being, CASA helps guide chil dren toward permanent homes and the healing resources they deserve.
