Dr. Robert Wells

for a solo piano recital featuring music of the Americas (the US and beyond). The concert will include selections by George Gershwin, Amy Beach, Connor Chee, Manuel Ponce, Leslie Adams, and Alberto Ginastera, all performed on UMW's beautiful Steinway grand piano. This recital will highlight the diverse musical influences on classical pianism in North and South America, including jazz, classical Romanticism, Native American music, Mexican song, African-American spirituals, easy listening, and Argentine dance.
