April showers bring May flowers. For the month of April, homeschoolers will learn about the water cycle, water pollution, and how it affects us and the environment. From crafts detailing the types of clouds and precipitation to learning how to test water quality, this month is all about our water and will wrap up in the final week by exploring our own waterways and identifying the many different species that live there. *Note: The same program is offered twice a week, on Monday morning and Wednesday afternoon. Mondays, 11AM-12PM 4/6: Water Cycle and Runoff 4/13: Clouds and Precipitation 4/20: Water Quality and Indicator Species 4/27: Aquatic Exploration Wednesdays, 1PM-2PM 4/8: Water Cycle and Runoff 4/15: Clouds and Precipitation 4/22: Water Quality and Indicator Species 4/29: Aquatic Exploration Participants will meet inside of the Visitor Center. Please make sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated. Hikes and other outdoor activities should be anticipated for any of these programs. In case in inclement weather, please check this page prior to coming to the park. Cancellations will be posted by close of business the day before the program.
