Do you want to learn how to identify the different species of dragonflies found at Mason Neck State Park? Join one of our Rangers to find and ID some of these colorful invertebrates! We will meet on the Visitor Center Lawn before taking a short walk to the turtle pond to learn about the behaviors, similarities, and differences between dragonflies and damselflies. Hiking shoes, bug spray, sunscreen, and water are all recommended. The trail is mainly flat but has some stairs. Strollers and wheelchairs. We can also take the car-top boat launch road to the turtle pond.
