Join us for a fascinating evening with Kerri Holland, President of Historic Port Royal, Inc., as she shares the story behind their remarkable White House china collection. Housed at the Port Royal Museum of American History, the collection is considered one of the largest public displays of White House china in the country, featuring presidential china, serving pieces, and glassware spanning nearly 200 years of American history. Pieces from administrations including Rutherford B. Hayes, Harry Truman, and Jimmy Carter help tell the story of presidential traditions, state dinners, and life inside the White House. Kerri and Trish will discuss the history and significance of White House china collecting, how these rare pieces were preserved, and the connection between presidential history and decorative arts. They will also bring select samples from the collection for guests to view up close. An unforgettable opportunity to experience American history through some of the nation’s most elegant and historic tableware.
